We’re growing – and we’re looking for a Business Development Manager who can open doors, spark relationships and help us turn conversations into contracts.

About us

Your Mission: Build Trust, Drive Growth


As our new Business Development Manager, you will be at the forefront of our expansion into new airline accounts. You will own the early part of the customer journey – identifying prospects, driving interest, building trust and leading them toward onsite product demos that form the basis for sales discussions.

You will collaborate closely with the Head of Sales & Marketing to prioritize opportunities and shape a strategic approach. This is a high-impact role with room for initiative, responsibility and professional growth.

  • Identify and connect with potential airline customers through direct outreach and industry networking

  • Represent Caynova at trade shows, conferences and customer visits around the globe (up to 50% travel)

  • Drive initial contact through to product demo – paving the way for quotes and contract negotiations

  • Build relationships at all levels: from high-level decision makers to product definition / customer experience, engineering,
    maintenance and procurement teams

  • Stay fluent in technical and regulatory aspects of our systems to credibly advise prospects

  • Collaborate with marketing to shape our outbound messaging and account strategy

  • Monitor market trends, customer needs, and competitor activity to spot new opportunities

  • Contribute to the company's visibility and network expansion efforts 

  • Cultivate and fortify relationships with customers through consistent engagement 

  • Lead negotiations for customer-awarded contracts

  • Foster close collaboration with the sales team to ensure alignment of strategies, plans, targets, and opportunities

  • Travelling worldwide with up to 50% of contracted time

  • Outgoing and engaging – you are energized by people, not afraid of cold calls, and great at building rapport

  • Persistent and strategic – you follow up without being pushy, and always see the bigger picture

  • Technical fluency – you understand engineering fundamentals and aviation regulations

  • Professional and trustworthy – you are confident with stakeholders at executive management level and a credible partner to technical teams

  • Organized and collaborative – you know how to work within a team and align efforts to business goals

  • Proven experience in business development or sales within aviation or technical capital goods

  • Sound knowledge of aviation regulation frameworks

  • Technical background in electronics or mechanics (engineering degree in aviation a plus)

  • Excellent command of German and English (C1/C2 level)

  • Valid work permit for Switzerland or permanent residency in EU/EFTA is necessary
